01How much does a concrete driveway or patio cost?
It depends on the size, what's there now (removing old concrete adds cost), how thick it needs to be, and the finish — a broom finish costs less than stamped. The fastest way to a real number is our estimate form: tell us the size and what you want, and we'll call you with a price and set up a free visit.
02Are the estimates really free?
Yes. We come out, measure and give you a price. No charge and no obligation.
03How soon can I walk or drive on new concrete?
As a general rule, you can walk on it after a day or two and drive a car on it after about a week. Heavy trucks should wait longer. We'll give you exact times for your job before we leave.
04Do you remove the old concrete?
Yes. We break it out, haul it away and prep the ground before we pour the new slab.
05Stamped concrete or pavers — which is better?
Both look great. Stamped concrete is one solid slab with a pattern and color pressed in, and it's usually easier on the budget. Pavers are individual pieces that are easy to repair one at a time. We'll walk you through both and help you choose what fits your home and budget.
06Will my new concrete crack?
All concrete can crack — that's why we build to control it. A compacted base, proper reinforcement and control joints cut in the right places keep cracks where they belong and out of sight.
07Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Every job comes with a 6-month warranty on our work. If something isn't right, call us and we'll come back and make it right.
08Are you insured?
Yes, Y&L Concrete is insured.
09Do you take commercial jobs?
Yes — curbs, parking lots, subdivision sidewalks, slabs and more. Our largest project to date was about $380,000. Small or large, we bring the same quality and commitment.
10What areas do you serve?
We work within about 80 miles of the Triangle, including Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Apex, Morrisville, Holly Springs, Wake Forest, Fuquay-Varina, Pittsboro, Siler City and Sanford. Not sure you're in range? Call — you probably are.
